The 15th edition of the Gran Trail Peñalara (GTP), the most iconic ultra-distance race in the Sierra de Guadarrama (104 km and 5,100 m+), now has its winners: Agustín Luján and Sandra Yagüe have registered their names as the brand-new winners of 2025.
The challenge proved once again to be tough, with foggy and windy stretches, but Agustín Luján from La Mancha (with a time of 12:24:55) managed to win with authority after dominating the race from kilometer 40. Luján showed impeccable race management to beat Rubén Diéguez and Yuri Pikh, who completed the men's podium.
Luján's victory is particularly moving, as the runner from La Mancha is a symbol of the values of trail running. Last year, he performed an unparalleled feat by conceding victory to the runner who had been leading the race until a few kilometers before the finish line and who got lost on the final descent to the finish line, a sporting gesture that we discussed in our report.

On the other hand, in the women's category, Sandra Yagüe was crowned champion after an endurance race, with a time of 16:08:23, followed by Eva García Maestro.
